- Labour Courses Funds are available for tuition reimbursement for members taking labour related coursework.
- Local Development Locals interested in organizing their own member development workshops or courses may apply to the YEU for funding by submission of a proposal.
- Collective Bargaining Training These courses are provided from time to time, as required by the expiry of collective agreements. Contact the union office to find out when the next session might be scheduled.
- Other a limited amount of funding is available to assist members in attending labour related conferences and workshops.

Course Information
Talking Union Basics (TUB) is invaluable for stewards, but all members are encouraged to become better informed.
This course covers:
- knowing your rights;
- protecting your rights;
- exercising your rights;
- improving your rights
by introducing you to your Collective Agreement, solving problems through the grievance process, and introducing you to the structure of the Public Service Alliance as well as the collective bargaining process.
Shop Steward Round Tables
YEU Shop Steward Round Table learning sessions are offered monthly from September through March. The sessions run on the 2nd or 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until noon in the YEU training room. January 18, 2012 SS Round Table information
Local Officer Advanced Training (LOAT)
Local Officer Advanced Training (LOAT) is 4-day residential course offered and delivered periodically by PSAC. It is open to Local officers and Shop Stewards. Participants learn how to work together as a team to efficiently administer their Local's business and organize the members in the workplace.
